Tools and material

This page collects resources I’ve found useful in my own research, most of which centres on Discrete Choice Experiments and Q-methodology. Materials here are organised around these two methods.

Q-methodology

A few resources that make it easier to get started with a Q-study:

  • To collect data online, Aproxima offers a neat, free tool for running a Q-sort.
  • For analysis, Aiora Zabala’s R package qmethod covers the full workflow from data import to factor rotation.
  • If you’re not familiar with R, the same author also provides a Shiny app version of qmethod with a graphical interface.
  • To understand what the code is actually doing, I recommend the qmethod Cookbook, or a little more humbly an annotated example file I put together myself.
